The simple answer is that we all do!

As federal employees we benefit from the once-a-year, in-the-work-place campaign on behalf of charitable organizations. The CFC allows us to easily pick out our favorite charity and designate our donation directly to those charities that we select. In addition the CFC provides us the convenience of payroll deduction that allows us to make more substantial donations by deducting our contributions over a 12 month period instead of all at once.

Charities benefit because the CFC is the largest single charitable event in the world. Last year more than $256 million was raised through the generosity of Federal employees worldwide. In the Southeast Michigan Area more than $3,000,000 was raised.

Our world, our nation, and our own communities benefit from the CFC as the generosity of Federal employee donations is distributed to the many charities that help us, our families, our friends and our neighbors whether they be close by or far away.
